Constructed c1856, Strickland House is an early Victorian Italianate mansion and is the oldest of a group of buildings situated in the Strickland House Estate overlooking Sydney Harbour. The Estate is now part of a public recreational foreshore reserve, managed by National Parks and Wildlife.

Letizia Coppo + Associates was commissioned by Property NSW to document and oversee the construction phase of the roof conservation works. This work included replacement of slate, copper and lead roofs and extensive timber framing repairs.
